We are a curious people indeed, diverse in every sense of the word, yet united in our love of The Lord Jesus Christ and our love of one another, as brothers and sisters in Christ. We are young, we are old. We are male, we are female. We are conservative, we are liberal. We are white-collar, we are blue-collar. We are orthodox, traditional, contemporary, and charismatic. We are black, we are white; we are Hispanic, we are Asian, African, European, Native American... and the list goes on! Our native tongues include English, Spanish, Arabic, Tagalog, Cebu, Navajo, Afrikaans, Urubu, and others. Individually very different from one another, yet one family.

We join our voices O Lord as we say together:
Gentle God, Teach us how to live in honesty and openness with ourselves and one another;
how to accept, learn from, and be thankful for our differences and imperfections;
and when we injure one another, how to seek and find healing and reconciliation.Guide our steps, Loving Spirit, as we minister to the children and families of our community,
that children who are hurt may find people who care, new starts may be made possible,
and life, purpose, and alternatives to the ways of the world may be discovered.
We will go, Lord, where you lead us. In your Name, we pray.
Amen.
