"Les Chapeaux Rouges" have been busy over the past year. Our Kick-off Tea in April 2005 was grand. We learned a lot about each other’s lives with a game and also found out which of us was the biggest couch potato in another game. Since then, we've enjoyed a steady stream of activities and have gotten to become the best of friends. Here is a sample of what we've been up to:
Getting started with our Kick-off Tea in April 2005

We celebrated National Red Hat Society Day with luncheon at Mimi’s Café. It was the first time we went out into public in our red and purple regalia. We did in fact draw a lot of positive attention and smiles from the people eating around us.

In June a group of us went to see Tom Jones in concert. Something we’ve wanted to do since being teenagers……a while ago! Tom was wonderful and put on a great show!! We laughed, clapped, sang and swooned.

In July we had a movie night at Lady Lois’ home. It was “pajama casual” and we watched the movie Joshua. We were instructed to bring a movie snack to share and we had more food than we could eat in a week of Sundays!

August 2005 brought a trip to Late Night Catechism in Scottsdale. This took us all back to our younger days in school. We and our consorts became her classroom of “children”.

We also had an arts & crafts day in early August to make some fancy name tags with our Red Hat names on them.
In September we enjoyed lunch and a tour of the Wrigley Mansion. Call us cats…..we were all curious about what’s inside.
In October we held another Tea Party at the Goddess of Hope’s home and enjoyed High Tea at Gooseberries. We Red Hatters love our tea, but the snacks are the real reason we have Teas!

In November we took an excursion to The Teddy Bear Factory, where we spent the day learning about Teddy Bears from start to finish -- and even got to make our own. What fun!

December brought a Christmas Gift and Cookie Exchange, which we all enjoyed -- of course the cookies were delicious!

We finally made a trip in May 2006 to the World Wildlife Zoo in Litchfield Park -- we had planned it for an earlier time when the weather was cooler, but got rained out!
That’s all I’m willing to share with you at the moment. If you want to know what we are up to for the rest of the year, please feel free to join us. We are all about having fun and celebrating being women. Playing dress-up like we used to as little girls and sharing our triumphs.
Any ladies interested in joining us please contact the Queen Mum, Rosey or the Vice Queen, Princess Lullabell.
With Love and Laughter,
Rosey the Queen Mum
