Prayer Requests:

Do you need prayers - for yourself, a family member, a friend, or anyone else? Please write your requests on the prayer list on the stand in the narthex (lobby), or email them to Prayers@standrewsglendale.org. Your requests will be given to our prayer team, so they can pray, and also be included in the prayer list for the following Sunday. Shalom!

More about the St. Andrew's Prayer Team Ministry

THE ST. ANDREW'S PRAYER TEAM MINISTRY by Louise Bowles

The Prayer Team at St. Andrew's has been in efficient and continuous motion for many years, and is a truly vital element of our Parish Life. Countless numbers of prayers of every kind and scope have been issued forth unto the Lord, and answers beyond our comprehension, hopes or greatest expectations have been testified to and witnessed to one another.

I have so much praise for the Lord that words cannot truly express it because I have the joy and privilege of leading a group of more than 50 parishioners who are at all times in prayer for one another and for you. If you're looking for a simple service work and are not yet a member of this group, please consider serving God by joining our Prayer Team, which is now headed by Terry Ruth. If you have a few minutes each day to check your computer and pray, please contact Terry, through the Prayer Team's email address: Prayers@standrewsglendale.org.

Each Sunday your prayers are taken from the Prayer Request Sheet that is on the Prayer Podium in the Narthex, and sent out on the computer to the E-Team to pray. During the week new prayers are received on the computer or by phone, and are sent out daily to the E-Mail Prayer Warriors as well. About Wednesday of each week the prayers that have been submitted thus far are gathered by the Church Administrator, posted to the Lavender Prayer Flyer, and placed in the Narthex on the Prayer Podium to be picked up by anyone interested in using these for personal praying during the week.

The Lord has been so faithful and so very good to us. We can only hope to give Him honor and praise with our small hearts, voices and minds, in all circumstances. We have learned so much through our prayers. If you are already a member of our Prayer Team you more than likely can't say enough about how this ministry of praying for others has blessed your own life, has strengthened and deepened your own faith, and has just simply changed your heart.

The Lord said that it is good to love one another and to share each other's burdens. When you ask for prayer, you are blessing all of those who will pray for you by allowing them to share your burden.
"...everything is possible for him who believes." Mark 9:23
